lceonline comes out of the experience of the six-monthly journal La cittadinanza europea (LCE) founded in 2002 as part of the project establishing the Altiero Spinelli Centre (CeAS) – Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence, with the intention to be additional to (and not a substitute of) the printed version (FrancoAngeli publisher), as well as for the purpose, through open access and a quarterly periodicity more suited to its scientific dissemination objectives, to enrich and enhance the content offer, providing tools for analysis, discussion and collaboration opportunities to jurists among themselves and with scholars and experts in different disciplines, for an audience of readers interested in deepening the knowledge of the European integration process in its originality, complexity and in the variety of its aspects linked to the evolutionary dimension of the construction of European unity.
