abstract: The paper aims to analyse the European Parliament’s Resolution of June 13, 2023 with reference to the European Citizens’ Initiative, highlighting some of the characteristics and critical elements inherent in the operation of one of the most ‘promising’ legal instruments in the exercise of democratic participation in the European Union, and presenting a quick comparison between the previous and the new regulation governing it.
