Luigi Moccia
Professor of comparative law and Jean Monnet chair of EU law and institutions at university Roma Tre, where he held the position of department director, dean of the faculty of political sciences and president of the Altiero Spinelli centre - Jean Monnet centre of excellence (2003-2020). He has taught in other universities in Italy (Macerata, Perugia) and held courses and conferences in many universities abroad. In 2011 he received the doctor h.c. degree from the University of Oradea. In 2024 he received the title of professor emeritus of University Roma Tre, where he currently holds the position of honorary president of the Interdepartmental Center for Studies and Documentation on China and East Asia (CSDC). He is member of academic associations and of scientific/editorial committees, in Italy and abroad. He is the founder and present scientific director of the journal La cittadinanza europea and the monographic series Quaderni del Centro Altiero Spinelli (both published by FrancoAngeli editore) and founder and present chief editor of the journal lce online.
